Our new house!

Well we are finally home! We bought a house not our dream home but it is ours!!! Four bedrooms two baths and all ours!! We spent the whole weekend moving and cleaning and are still not done cleaning the other house. I am just exhausted but so very happy that this is the last move in a long long time!!! A lot of our family and a wonderful couple of friends has been there every step of the way. Moving really shows you who your friends are! Naoko came over and helped clean for a good 10 hours the other day and still offered to come back the next day to clean carpets!! What a great person! Thank you all for all your help!

Update for September

The kids are in school again! yeahhhhh I am finally able to get some packing done! I can clean a room and have it stay that way for hours! After reading my friends blogs I feel very boring! Compared to babies new jobs ext. packing seems kinda tame! I am trying to do the house thing and am sick so it is even more fun than usual but other than that all is going well!

wont blog for awhile

I wont be on here for a while. We are trying to save $$ so we are cutting things that we don't need until we move into our own house! So for now no internet and those who now me u can call my cell. Hoping to be able to save enough to make moving a little easier. Wish us luck!

So we went to Levitt lake and looked but I am not fond of the cookie cutter houses. I think we will go with the one in Janesville even though its a bit more. I love the property and its outbuildings are just wonderful! It has property and trails in the woods! If that one doesn't work we can always do the one in Susanville. It doesn't have the property but is four bedrooms 2 car garage and a basement so all in all probably the best option. It is hard not to get discouraged looking at a bunch of stuff and most of them I hate. I just don't want to end up in an area where there are people right on top of each other

the hunt continues.

The hunt continues... We are searching the whole valley it seems for a house big enough to fit us that we can afford and isn't half a million frickin dollars!!! So to day we go look in dare I say it... Levitt lake! Yikes I have always swore I would not live there but maybe if I find a decent 4 bedroom I might reconsider.

wrecking ball

Well I got woke up this morning by a phone call from Adam that the house we have been in the process buying has fallen through! The seller has decided not to sell. Just like that. Crash now what? So the process starts again. I am a wreck and very hurt by the whole thing but I can't do a thing about it. So the house hunting begins again. Wish us luck and PRAY that we can get a house and move in time!

House hunting!!

We are looking at a house in Janesville. It is smaller but has a lot of ways to expand it. I am excited about it it is very cozy and reminds me of a log cabin. The whole history of the house was written in journals that come with the house. Down to where the logs came from to build it! It has the most amazing mantle over the fireplace made with polished rocks. The people who built it were rock hounds so the rocks come from all over the country and were cut and polished by them. I have never seen anything like it. I love it I just keep praying that it all comes together quickly so we can get the move over with!!! Pray for us. Now I get to start the packing being careful not to damage my back!

Update July / August

A lot has been happening lately. We found out last week that Polly needs to move back into the house so we will be moving in the next couple of months. We have decided to buy a house instead of renting so we can quit moving! It is a mind boggling experience but in the end it will be very good for us. I am both terrified and excited. We have never been sure we would be somewhere long enough to even consider buying before so this marks a huge moment in our lives. In the middle of this we are trying to get my back fixed. I did the physical therapy but after doing it for 2 months they took some x-rays and discovered it was actually doing more harm then good so they had me stop them. I have a very good Dr. in Reno and he gave me the options of surgery, cortisone injections, or an epidural, Surgery is a last resort for me since in most cases it doesn't stop the pain I already have but is designed to stop the pain from becoming worse and can cause other discs to be injured. Cortisone injections would help cushion the disc but my back is beyond that being an option. So of course we went to the epidural  idea which is just blocking the pain signal from going to my brain. I have to be careful not to do anything that can hurt my back worse but in the mean time I will have some relief! So yesterday I had them put that in. I made the mistake of not asking about the pain after they put it in! I got home and was in so much pain I thought they had done something seriously wrong and was going to go tho the hospital. Then Adam read the paper work they sent home and turns out that after 2 days the epidural starts to wok but in the meantime it INTENSIFIES the pain!!! It feels like labor pain in the whole lower half of my body without the breaks in between. to include the pressure. I am not sure I have ever felt this much pain but by tomorrow night I should feel wonderful.  They also injected steroids into the disc so it could help it heal some too.

Craig Morgan!

Last night Adam and I went to the Craig Morgan concert at the fair!! It was the best night. He is Adams favorite country singer so it was even better for him! We got to hear 3 new songs that are coming out in October and there was tons of noise and people!! I might enter this pic in the fair next year! It has been a long time since we had that much fun!!!

Nerve conduction test

The nerve conduction test is a way to torture people! It has been two days and I can finally type again! They stick needles into your muscles and zap them with electricity. Then wait to see how long it takes to make your fingers move. Could have been more painful I guess but doesn't seem like it at the time! The good news is that I can safely wait a little while to do the surgery! I am very happy for that. Bad news is the pain will continue until I do it. I am still waiting. Something about having someone cut my wrists just seems like a bad idea at this point!

update

I have been doing the physical therapy like a good girl... It seems to hurt more now! I don't get this it is supposed to help right??? Friday I have to go get the nerve conduction test for my hands so that should be a barrel of laughs too! Good news is I might not have to have surgery! There is a bright side in this.

The Heat!!!

I can't believe this it is only May and it is already in the 90's! Of course I live in this huge beautiful house that has no a/c and even if we bought one it wouldn't really work since it is so big! Can we move to Alaska for the summer?

Austins 7th grade Dance

Austin had his 7th grade dance! He went with a group of friends and had a great time. They broke open glow sticks and sprayed them all over each other so they all glowed. Austin and Tiana were voted most special couple. Sweet since she is the girl he loved when we lived here when he was in 2nd grade! They are still friends (no not boyfriend girlfriend!) It was a great night for him.

Childrens fair

Today was the Lassen County Childrens Fair. For those who didn't go you really missed out. It gets bigger and bigger every year and this one was just wonderful! The kids all behaved, We came home with everyone we arrived with, and most of the activities were free. The little ones loved the jump houses and Hunter won a pie eating contest. I am posting a few different pics for you all to see.

Gift giving

Our church has a big night every six months or so to share our gifts to worship God. It is a lot of fun with dancing singing and some poem reading. I guess you could do anything but that is what is done usually. I want to get Kristen up there next time I think it would be so adorable.

Ouch

My insurance has finally approved the MRI for my back. I go in next week to do the test then it is off to Reno for the Nero surgeon to get my back fixed. Or at least helped a little???? In a way it is a battle won and I am excited but a part of me is absolutely terrified! I keep hearing that a lot of the time surgery doesn't help the pain it just keeps it from progressing. I want some relief or at least a little bit of hope that it will be better eventually but all I hear is pretty depressing.

Well we had Alex's 7th birthday party. I can't believe how big he is! I made his cake and decorated it. It took three tries but it ended up looking really good. The house was a zoo and there were kids everywhere. It was a huge hit. No one fought or cried and a couple of the parents even stayed with there kids!

Austin the bunny boy

Alex and Kristen's class each had a Easter egg hunt with the 7th/8th grade class acting as Easter bunny. Alex's class had his yesterday and Kristen's class had her today. Austin was in the class acting as bunnies. He made himself big floppy ears and picked his brother and sister for his bunny buddy! Talk about blackmail pictures! He was just adorable! The older class went out and hid the eggs then went and picked up the bunny buddies for the hunt. Every adult I saw would tell me how Austin was the best big brother they see at the school. I am so very proud of him.

Easter preparation

We are going to do our family Easter tomorrow! I am finally getting excited about it. I painted some of the eggs with the kids the other day and it was a wonderful fun time! No one complained or argued and they all did a great job. We are going to do the rest of them tonight. I enjoy it more the older they get which seems backwards somehow. The older kids get really creative and come up with some neat ideas!

new blog

I got a new computer! yeahhh It is almost Easter and usually I would be excited but with Adams schedule we can't really plan a big thing so I am kinda bummed out over it. I need to cook dinner but I just wanted to say I finally am able to blog again!
